As of 2021, the new regulation that was announced by the Ontario College of Pharmacists in adopting the NAPRA Standards for Compounding of Non-Sterile Preparations will begin to be enforced.
What does this mean?
Only select pharmacies are eligible to provide compounding services for patients.
Compounding requires extensive training, experience, and significant facility and equipment investments beyond basic pharmacy education. Unlike many others, IHS Pharmacy has met these high standards and is eligible to prepare and provide a full range of sterile and non-sterile medications.
